Footnotes
CHROMEPLATED HEART bobbled on the break but quickly recouped to be in the fray up top leaving the gate, was smartly reined back rating kindly while watching the front pair at the half, moved in three wide outside the front duo by the quarter marker to be in the thick of things, came with a rally still three wide in upper stretch and determinedly grinded away on the front runner getting the lead with seventy yards from home and was edging away for the win when crossing the finish line. SOUPER DIVA was roused on the fence intent with getting the lead down the backside, had a clear advantage by the half, rolled along up front moving well within herself while hounded outside by a few rivals around the oval, fought on gamely clinging onto the lead still at the furlong marker, never gave in to the finish line but was caught by the winner in deep stretch. SUPER SICILY leapt up on the break trailing the field, closed the gap on the fence down the backside, ranged up under a good hold travelling smoothly on the rail in midturn, shifted out five wide off the dueling trio posing a threat with three sixteenths left to run and was gaining gradually in the final furlong but could only settle for third money while not that far off the winner. SINCLAIRITY fought up top between horses in the beginning, kept a close eye chasing the frontrunner outside at the half, inched up closing the gap through the bend to bid between rivals two wide with a quarter mile to go but while three wide in the final sixteenth could not kick on with the lead top three runners in deep stretch holding for a minor share at the wire. PRIMA stalked inside another in mid-pack while in the four path along the back straight, kept pace with the leaders while going four wide on the turn while under a vigorous ride, moved out six wide at the top of the lane but offered no rally down the stretch. HAPPY VALENTINE settled outside rivals in the five path in the middle of the pack, tried to make a run outside foes but was going five wide through the turn unable to make any headway, moved to the seven path for the stretch run, dropped in to the four path off the fence with a furlong from home but had no finish to give late. VERDEJO lacked early foot near the rear in the early stages, trailed the field by the half, lagged well behind the group with three eighths still to go, was allowed to drift out entering the stretch to be seven wide turning for home and could not make an impression in the stretch run.
