QUADZILLA had a a slim lead on the rail running down the backside, cleared off from rivals at the three-furlong pole, rolled along unopposed through the turn, opened up further just off the fence turning for home and coasted in for the front-end tally. RED WEAVER tracked the lead duo while in the two path down the backstretch, was reined back being shuffled slightly at the seven sixteenths marker, began to come on again, picking up the bit in midturn outside foes, posed the only threat to the pacesetter four wide turning for home and was closing gradually late but could not get to the winner in time when crossing the finish. AWESOME RAINBOW veered in sharply on the break, sat four deep outside foes watching the front pair in the beginning stages, moved up slightly outside to sit in the second tier with an inside foe throughout the turn, could not get to the frontrunner when urged for more at the quarter pole and evened out on the fence just lasting for the show money from an outside closer at the finish line. SNIPER JACK was sandwiched between horses when leaving the gate, had a stalking position just off the rail ahead of only the other troubled starter down the backside, started to make a move two wide closing the gap on the lead rivals at the quarter marker, swung to the five path for the drive to the finish line and finished mildly just missing out getting the show award at the wire. TIME ZAPPER had a poor start when bounced around then bobbled leaving the gate to trail the field along the back straight, remained well back running around the oval, shifted outside to the five path for the stretch run and caught a weary straggler in the final furlong. STREETSHAVENONAME pressed the pace between runners early on, settled inside another while in the second flight around the turn, could not keep up to the outside flow of rivals making a rally at the quarter pole and gave way on the fence down the stretch.
