SHIFTY broke sharp assuming control right from the get-go, rolled along well in hand uncontested setting an even pace throughout the turn and had plenty more when finally set down in the lane to win impressively for the gate to wire tally. ZO LEE was between foes just off the rail in midfield in the early going, separated herself from the others while chasing the loose frontrunner throughout the turn, posed the only threat closing the gap slightly at the quarter pole, never gave in to the finish line but was just no match for the dominant winner while still easily besting the rest for the secondary award. LUZ DE LA LUNA had the rail inside a couple of horses tracking the frontrunner while in mid-pack, held her own on the fence but was unable to gain on the front pair around the bend, shifted to the four path in upper stretch and ran on to be a distant third at the finish line. WAR SIGNAL was allowed to settle at the rear in the early stages, still lagged behind the group entering the turn, made a brief move narrowing the gap on the turn by the quarter pole, shifted out four wide for the drive to the wire, moved inwards with a furlong to go but failed to fire inside rivals in the late running. PURR FACTOR travelling outside of a couple of horses in the middle of the pack at the half, could not keep position three wide on the turn going the wrong way by the quarter marker, moved to the five path outside foes trailing turning for home and was edging up late on a couple of runners but could not improve position at the wire.
