Footnotes
MONY MONY was away sharp for the early lead, then was reined back slightly surrendering the front end in a scramble up top by the five eighths pole, pulled the rider to an outright advantage when let out a notch by the half, rolled along comfortably on the inside still setting the pace, had company bearing down outside in mid-stretch but had plenty still in reserve to hold sway in deep stretch for the victory. LAKOTA LADY settled in mid-pack going five deep after the break, made a smart move down the backstretch getting to the e inside advancing on the fence at the half following the frontrunner, waited for the cue to move on the rail just back of the leader on the turn, posed the only threat switching out between rivals two wide in upper stretch but could not gain on the stubborn winner in the late stages. DAY TO DAY pressed the pace initially in the four path, continued to be forwardly placed chasing the leader outside throughout the turn, took closer order making a bid two wide at the quarter pole, remained in the thick of things when outside, three abreast turning for home, could not go on with the lead duo by the furlong marker but did dig in late to prevail at the finish line for the show money. EDEY hopped, breaking outwards on the start, recovered quickly to poke her head in front between foes in the two path at the five eighths pole, came under a ride trying to keep up to the lead trio by the three furlong marker, moved out to the four path for the stretch run and ran on mildly losing the duel for the show award inside at the wire. GOLDEN THREAD had the rail sharing the back end in the beginning stages, saved ground making little progression through the bend, shifted just off the fence for the stretch drive but could not get involved in the late running. LIKELY STORY co-trailed on the outside of another early on, could see the field with a half mile remaining, was roused for more passing a single rival on the turn, moved out widest in the six path turning for home but had no finish in the final furlong. NONNA'S LOVE was brushed slightly inside at the start, dueled in the mix up front early on while in the three path between horses along the backside, could not maintain forward position by the half, dropped back to the rear around the bend, drifted out six wide at the top of the lane, was not persevered with in the stretch drive and cantered on in.
