ARBITER jumped out of the gate for the early advantage, set a moderate pace alone up top down the backside, cruised on the front end setting an even tempo throughout the turn, had outside company applying pressure at the quarter pole, spurted away sharply when tapped on the shoulder by the rider two wide turning for home repelling the brief challenge, switched leads on a dime in mid-stretch and had plenty left drawing away impressively for the front end score. SILVER IS BEST broke inwards to begin, had a good position sitting back behind the pacesetter in the early stages, saved ground on the turning watching the engaged duo at the quarter pole, hugged the rail in the hunt at the top of the stretch, was no match for the dominant winner but still finished up strongly to easily best the rest. EL CAPO veered out on the break, trailed the field galloping along while still quite in range along the back straight, could not keep up to rivals losing ground around the bend, moved out four wide for the drive and found another gear late to surge right at the finish line outside to get the photo for the show money. TWO OUT HERO was forced out by the inside runner at the start, had a tracing position outside down the backstretch watching the loose pacesetter, was urged to go after the winner in midturn, quickly closed in making his presence felt by the quarter pole battling head to head on the outside, had little left to offer in the four path in upper stretch and faded between foes at the furlong marker.
