G T FIVE HUNDRED stalked the dueling leaders several lengths back of that pair and having switched outside those, began advancing leaving the turn, was asked in upper stretch coming into the lane four to five wide, gained steadily and got up late. SCORCHING forced the pace inside, dueled for the lead taking a narrow advantage in upper stretch, appeared to exchange light brushes in the lane under strong urging, held the dueling partner but was outkicked by the winner. POULIN IN O T was outsprinted early, continued to duel outside a rival in a spirited battle, was just in arrears of the inside foe in upper stretch, appeared to exchange minor brushing, was outkicked. DREAMING OF KONA broke a step slowly, trailed early racing off the inside, gained well but too late shifting nearer the fence in deep stretch to close on the leaders. ROI SOLEIL was last but one early lacking speed and racing near the inside, received some encouragement at the five-sixteenths, came out past the furlong marker drifting a few paths in the process, ran on evenly. DARK SCREEN chased from mid-pack from off the fence racing in the two to four path through the turn, was encouraged past the three-eighths, floated out a bit coming into upper stretch, was unable to threaten. FOLLOWING AN OBJECTION BY THE RIDER OF POULIN IN O T AGAINST SCORCHING ALLEGING INTERFERENCE, STEWARDS DETERMINED THERE WAS INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE WARRANTING A CHANGE AND NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
