BLAZING BO broke a touch slow on the start, moved up the fence smartly by the five eighths pole to take control inside by the half getting a head in front, narrowly continued to be the pacesetter while harassed outside by a couple of rivals through the turn, still remained on the front end but by a slight margin on the rail turning for home and was unyielding down the lane gamely prevailing at the wire to just last for the victory in a tight four way finish. FAIRWAY TO HEAVEN had a good trip all alone watching the embattled trio along the backside, shifted out in midturn coming to the lead group by the quarter pole outside, loomed in the four path in upper stretch, closed in late but was denied by the stubborn frontrunner inside at the wire. COHERENCE broke outwards on the break but recovered to have an early lead, settled down to sit in midfield by the half, took the short way around the bend holding position, hugged the fence in with a shot straightening out for the drive, kept on trying determinedly to the end, was gaining in deep stretch but had to settle for the show award in a blanket finish for the top four placings. JMR SPEEDY ESCAPE stalked on the fence near the rear, could not really advance while inside another still close to the back of the pack on the oval, moved out five wide in upper stretch and had a good late sustained rally outside horses down the lane but could not get to the winner in time settling on the fringes instead all the while not that far off for the win in the end. LITTLE RED DOMI could see the field while three deep on the outside in the early stages, travelled three wide but could not make any headway through the turn, swung out widest in the six path for the stretch drive and finished up with some interest in the late going. FORESTER HUMOR prompted the pace between foes down the backside, continued to slug it out with rivals on either side in the running around the turn, continued to be in the thick of things between runners two wide at the top of the stretch but tired in the last furlong. CRUCIAL TAUNT had a stalking role with runners on each side down the backstretch, improved mildly outside horses at the five sixteenths pole, remained in with a chance for a piece of the prize just off the rail behind the leaders in upper stretch but failed to fire in the last eighth of a mile. ABSOLUTE CHAIRMAN argued for the front going three deep outside of foes, was the first in the scramble up top to give away three wide at the quarter pole and folded inside of rivals by mid-stretch.
