MOONLIGHT PROMISES travelled smoothly moving three deep to take over the lead midway down the backside, while under a snug hold opened up into the turn, slowed the pace down unopposed around the bend, shifted just off the fence in command in upper stretch and was kept to the task and had just enough in the late drive to hold off an outside rival who was edging closer late. ALLURING AMY assumed command on the fence breaking the sharpest, was then content to sit back off the new leader nestled on the fence into and throughout the turn, moved off the rail beginning to rally at the quarter pole, had aim on the pacesetter outside, looking the part three wide turning for home, grinded to the finish line but could only inch up late being held off by the winner in deep stretch. SIL'S GAMBLE was in a stalking position on the fence ahead of only one runner in the beginning, saved all the ground on the rail through the turn but was relegated to the rear by the five sixteenths pole, made a sharp rally scraping paint straightening out for the drive, could not threaten the top two finishers late but rallied to be a decisive third at the finish line with a solid effort inside. ARYA'S QUEST had the four path outside of runners in mid-division down the back straight, advanced three wide around horses in midturn, drifted out to the six path coming to the stretch and evened out in the drive to the wire for a minor placing in the end. PRETTY LIZA was in the mix up top between horses at the start, dropped back at the five sixteenths pole under a rousing ride with runners on either side, angled three wide at the head of the lane but could not factor inside rivals in the stretch run. WUNHAPPY WABBIT was void of early foot, lagging well behind the rest of the group down the backside, offered a brief run trying to circle three wide around runners in midturn, moved out widest in the seven-path turning for home, could not sustain the rally and stalled outside of horses in upper stretch. ATLANTIC PASSAGE settled in the second tier between horses, made an early move getting into second going three deep on the outside of two others at the seven sixteenths pole, chased the winner who was slowing the pace but to no avail throughout the turndown and wilted in the four path by the top of the stretch.
