Footnotes
ALPHA KADIN had a good position keeping tabs on the lone pacesetter while outside down the back straight, closed in, lengthening stride at the five sixteenths pole, moved to the leader posing the only threat three wide at the top of the lane and wore down a stubbornly frontrunner under a vigorous ride, getting up for the win just before the finish line outside. TEMPLE HALL was quick footed loose up top getting to the rail easily down the backside under a good hold, rolled along well in control all by himself around the bend, still had things his way in command on the fence in upper stretch, did not switch leads in the stretch drive and was just nabbed by the winner outside in the shadow of the wire. KNOWING broke a step slow from the inner post, moved up down the backside to sit in mid-pack on the fence by the half, rallied in the two path at the five sixteenths pole between foes, shifted to the six path with a chance in upper stretch, could not threaten the top pair who had it to themselves in the final furlong but did argue on outside to capture the show money. SPRINGER threw its head fighting the rider to be in last on the break, rushed up under a ride between horses at the nine sixteenths marker, improved around runners circling three wide throughout the turn, had the three path fight for a small share straightening out for the drive but lost the fight on the rail in the final furlong for the third place share. COOLCOLLECTED was allowed to settle into stride seeing the field midway down the backstretch, co-trailed on the inside with another three furlongs from home, shifted five wide for the stretch run but could only pass weary ones down the lane. LOST STAR was in a stalking role going three deep in the early stages, shared the back end outside a rival at the three eighths marker, appeared to be getting out on the turn at the quarter pole even though under right-handed encouragement and could not be a factor in the seven path in the late going. DILWAALA had a rail tracking spot early on, could not match strides with the lead duo on the turn by the quarter pole, regressed turning for home being passed on the outside by rivals and folded on the fence with a furlong remaining.
