I GOT MURPHED was on hold in mid-pack having the rail, patiently waited for the cue to go on the turn behind the embattled trio at the quarter pole, found a clear seam three wide at the top of the stretch coming with a strong rally, shot on by to take control with a sixteenth remaining and drew away smartly for the late running victory. SPLASH OF BOURBON broke outwards to begin, settled in mid-division three deep outside a couple of runners along the back straight, ranged up three wide midway on the turn to be in the fray up top outside with a quarter mile to go, shifted out widest in the six path at the top of the lane in the thick of it all but could not keep up to the dominant winner in the final eighth of a mile. VEGAS ROAD had a slim lead on the fence down the backstretch, dictated the pace nursed along on the rail still maintaining a slight advantage inside from two other rivals on the turn at the quarter pole, was clinging onto the front end in the two path in upper stretch, had no answer when the winner swept past outside at the sixteenth pole and faded in the late going to get caught just before the wire for the runners up share as well. DEFINITE DIVA was brushed by the inside foe on the start, trailed the group outside in the early going, remained at the rear but shifted outside at the midpoint of the turn making little improvement, angled back to the rail for the stretch drive and finished up with good late energy inside another to get the nod for the minors. AVA'S PRINCESS broke in at the beginning, travelled in the two path with runners on either side in the middle of the pack, was nudged for more outside another in the two path at the five sixteenths pole offering little response, moved to the six path for the drive to the finish line and found her best stride late fighting for a placing at the wire. GOT A COMPLEX pressed the issue on the outside down the backstretch, shadowed the pacesetter around the bend, took even closer order when forced to move between horses at the quarter pole fighting for the lead, angled out to the four path still in the mix at the top of the stretch but had little left for the drive and wilted by the furlong marker.
