HOME FOR A REST prompted the pace on the outside in the beginning, took back content to let the pacesetter go on with it entering the turn, began to creep closer when nudged for more at the quarter pole, loomed boldly four wide outside in upper stretch, moved to the frontrunner getting on even terms at the sixteenth pole and edged away for the win under a savvy tracking ride. SOUPER DIVA was intent on the lead hustling from the get-go angling in for the rail and the front end by the five eighths marker, shook loose to have an unopposed advantage through the turn setting an even tempo, still seemed well in command three wide at the top of the lane, was collared outside by the eventual winner with a sixteenth still to run, fought on inside stubbornly but gave way in deep stretch for the win. PURR FACTOR was checked on the inside when the lead outer rivals angled when dueling up top at the five furlong marker, sat alone in a good spot watching the contesting duo at the half, had the rail under a busy ride unable to making up any ground on the lead pair throughout the turn, scraped paint at the top of the stretch and finished up willingly but was well back of the front two finishers at the wire. SOCIETY'S KAT was off a touch slow in the beginning, co-trailed on the outside with another midway down the backside, lagged behind the group around the bend, shifted out three wide in upper stretch, moved out further for clear run in the five path at the furlong marker and had some late run outside to garner a minor placing in the end. EMPTY GESTURE shared the rear on the fence down the backside, had a brief turn of foot improving three wide around a runner midpoint on the oval, shifted to the four-path straightening out for the drive but had little give in the late going, finishing up one paced in deep stretch. STEWARD'S INQUIRY REGARDING #2 PURR FACTOR AND #4 SOUPER DIVA DOWN THE BACKSTRETCH AT THE FIVE FURLONG POLE RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
