Footnotes
EVER DANGEROUS broke slow on the start, recovered to go four wide tracking the lone speed into the first of two turns, was under a long hold rating kindly just off and outside the pacesetter along the backside, moved to the front outside at the three eighths marker, spurted away on the fence in upper stretch and was kept to the task late to win handily when crossing the finish line. ONE MORE BREW had a good position on the rail following the frontrunner in the beginning, was still forwardly placed tracking the lead duo with the field strung out along the backside, picked up the bit following the new leader two wide around the final bend, posed the only threat in the two path at the top of the stretch but chased the winner in vain to the wire while well ahead of the rest of the group at the finish line for the runners up position. JIM'S HOPE settled in midfield inside another, narrowed the margin on the rail moving well by the half, edged up just off the rail on the last turn by the quarter pole, shifted out to the five path for clear run in upper stretch and ran on willingly through the lane but was a distant third at the finish line. SHERIF ALI was off slowly to begin, co-trailed on the outside of two others while travelling four wide on the first turn, lagged behind the group down the backside, still was at the rear off the fence starting to reach for more ground on the final turn at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the seven path for the drive and finished up with interest for a minor role just missing out for the show money at the finish line. SAILOR'S PASSION had the rail, part of the back trio in the early stages, stalked inside along the backstretch and through the far turn, made a sharp moved getting into contention inside runners three wide turning for home but could not sustain the rally and stalled with a sixteenth remaining. DELIAN LEAGUE shared the back with rivals on either side through the first bend, stalked outside another along the back straight, could not make up any ground to runners through the last turn and failed to menace in the stretch drive between foes. SWAN LAKE travelled on the outside of another rivals in the middle of the pack, took closer order three deep at the half mile marker, came under a ride going three wide on the final bend just holding position only, angled to the six path at the top of the lane but had little to offer in the stretch running. GRAFFITI WRITER settled between runners watching the pacesetter early on, was under a strong hold being taken back slightly in tight midway around the first turn, moved well in the second flight outside another runner down the backstretch, could not quicken between foes, retreating on the far turn by the quarter pole and emptied out four wide at the head of the lane. MISTER HOLDEN was loose on the lead just off the rail heading into the initial bend, continued to ramble on unopposed up top down the back straightaway, offered little resistance when collared outside by the eventual winner outside three furlongs out, weakened drifting out four wide in upper stretch and had enough stopping between runners by the furlong marker.
