Footnotes
BRACHETTO was reluctant prior to the start going into the gate, once in, caught a flier outside for the early advantage, rated kindly four deep relinquishing the lead outside into the backstretch, settled outside another in the second flight at the half, was roused at the five sixteenths outside a rival and starting to pick up the bit with a quarter mile from home, moved to the three path gathering more speed at the top of the stretch looking a s the main threat, tenaciously pursued the leader at the furlong pole still quite behind but keep digging in and with one final charge, got up on the outside in deep stretch for the win. MISTER BLUE broke inwards but was quickly straightened out on the start, moved strongly to take the lead under a brisk winded move along the backside outside, rambled on loose up top still moving at a rapid pace around the oval, led by a good margin on the fence travelling well in upper stretch but got caught late by the strong late charge by the winner in the final furlong. SMOKIN EMPIRE was brushed on the back end by the troubled outside starter on the break, recovered to claim the front-end heading into the backside, let the outside rival go on with for the lead to sit off the new leader by the half, chased the pacesetter but to no avail throughout the turn, shifted just off the fence at the top of the lane but could not threaten the lead pair who had it to themselves in the final furlong and lasted at the wire for the show money. EQUITY had the rail drafting behind the pacesetter early into the backstretch, settled inside the eventual winner at the half watching the lead duo, could not keep up to the lead three runners on the turn at the three eighths marker taking the short way around, shifted to the three path turning for home but failed to menace in the drive to the wire. TUCKERS TOWN had a very poor start trailing the field by a long, long way down the backside, lost touch with the group lagging at the rear on the turn and galloped on home in the stretch running.
