SAMMYSAURUS REX was urged forward at the start, led after the opening furlong dictating terms inside, began edging away leaving the turn, was asked at the top of the stretch and responded drawing further away then held safe. EUBANK settled at the rear racing outside a foe into the turn, fanned seven wide into upper stretch, kept on and was no threat to the winner but clearly second best. CHANCHITO broke out a bit, tucked in up the backstretch settling at the rear, saved ground inside on the turn, angled six wide leaving that bend, drifted in gradually through the stretch run, kept on to get up for show from between runners. MISS SOOTHSAYER chased mid-division outside foes four wide on the turn, lugged out a bit at the top of the stretch, ran on but was outkicked for the minor placings. MAC GOWAN chased from inside on or just off the rail mid-pack, was ridden along into the turn, saved ground, lacked the needed late kick. FRANKNESS got away well, chased the eventual winner into and on the turn from outside, faltered and faded in the stretch. SURE SHOT TIMBER was reluctant to load and loaded riderless, got away well quickly shooting to a very brief lead but was promptly outsprinted, steadily dropped back up the backstretch and between runners three wide on the turn, came up empty.
