Footnotes
VERDEJO was unhurried, co-trailing on the outside along the back straight, began to pick up the bit circling around rivals three wide midway through the bend, angled to the five path having clear run and found her best stride late to get up in the shadow of the wire for the late charging win. SUPER SICILY pulled the rider between horses under strong restraint to press the issue outside at the half, assumed command on the outside at the five sixteenths pole, edged away in the three path when asked for more a furlong from home but could not finish the job late and got nabbed in deep stretch by the winner outside. SPIRIT BEAR was allowed to settle into a rhythm at the back of the pack on the fence early on, shared the rear inside of the eventual winner at the three eighths marker, angled out in the six path in upper stretch, had a good late charge and closed the quickest late to a solid third while threatening for the place share at the finish line as well. MORE MONEY HUNNY cleared off for the lead inside going in hand at the five furlong pole, had company quickening the tempo by the half, relinquished the front end, offering little resistance by the five sixteenths pole, still remained in the mix though on the fence turning for home but needed more in the final furlong unable to threaten in the late running. TANDHONEYWITHANE settled in mid-pack going four deep outside of runners down the backstretch, took closer order well within herself at the half while tracking the engaged twosome, narrowed the margin on the leader when roused at the quarter pole, moved out four wide in the hunt in upper stretch but flattened out slightly in the last sixteenth of a mile in a tightly bunched group at the finish line. DANCETOTHERHYTHM travelled on the rail in midfield, regressed inside of runners losing ground midway through the turn, shifted just off the fence for the drive to the finish line, closed the gap at the wire on the field but could not improve position in the end in a compact finish from first to last.
