VEERY was sent hard by the rider intent on getting the lead where she does her best running, settled into a good rhythm at the five eighths pole loose on the front-end, rolled along well within herself all alone around the oval, spurted away having plenty left when called upon at the furlong marker and held safe at the wire for the frontrunning rally. PRINCESS JADE was under a snug hold content keeping tabs on the pacesetter outside early on, chased the leader while inside another through the turn but to no avail and continued in the three path to fight down the lane but was unable to close in on the winner who had something left in deep stretch. MIRAMICHI sat isolated in midfield down the backstretch, took closer order inside rivals by the half, was hard ridden on the fence trying to keep pace on the turn, hugged the rail turning for home still not giving up and fought on inside in the late going to get the show money right at the wire winning the bob. AETHELFLAED (IRE) settled three deep tracking the leader, edged up outside, three wide for the secondary spot midway around the turn, shifted to the four path in upper stretch, stayed on the incorrect lead to the finish line and was nabbed by an inside rival right sat the finish line to settle on the fringes instead. BOUND TO BE TRUE was fractious prior to the start unseating her rider, shared the rear on the outside down the backside, lagged well behind the group through the turn, shifted out four wide turning for home and caught a weary straggler in the final furlong. SWEET FUSION co-trailed on the inside in the early stages, took the short way around the oval making little gain while ahead of only one runner, angled out three wide shortening stride in mid-stretch and had nothing to offer in the late running.
