Footnotes
GARNET AND GOLD had a good position alone watching the front pair battle in the early going, ranged up three wide through the turn, pounced outside at the furlong marker taking over and was kept to the task to comfortably hold safe at the finish line. SECRET LOAD settled at the rear running down the backstretch, smartly began to pick up horses going inside foes at the quarter pole, angled out looking for a seam in upper stretch, found a clear lane five wide between rivals with a furlong left to go and charged late but could not threaten the winner at the wire. ANAM CARA settled three deep in the middle of the pack in the beginning stages, uncorked a rally three wide with five sixteenths from home, shifted to the four path, ran on willingly dueling for the place share, drifted in late under right-handed encouragement and settled for third money in the end. SPIRIT BEAR was hustled on the rail in mid-pack, kept pace while hard ridden inside rivals around the bend and finished up gradually just off the rail in the two path down the lane for a minor placing. GLORIANNIA tracked between horses in midfield, regressed through the turn to see the field at the top of the stretch and found another gear late, passing runners on the fence in deep stretch. TWO SIP SALLY maintained a slim lead on the rail down the backside, edged away from the other speed foe by the quarter pole, still was clinging onto the lead inside with a furlong from home, had little left late and wilted in deep stretch. SOCIETY'S KAT had a stalking role near the back in the beginning, offered a brief turn of foot three wide at the quarter pole, angled out six wide for the drive but lacked a rally in the stretch. SUPER SICILY shadowed the pacesetter outside in the early going, was roused at the quarter pole trying to stay with the leader but offered little response and emptied out folding in the two path by the eighth pole.
