Footnotes
CONTRIVANCE was loose on the lead down the backside, continued unopposed while setting a quick tempo but still in hand through the turn, spurted away from the field at the quarter pole and cruised in down the lane for the front running tally. SO CALLED VACATION travelled on the rail in midfield down the backstretch, closed the gap running on the fence around the bend, slipped inside rivals straightening out for the drive making a move, shifted to the three path but could not get to the winner who had it all its way loose on the lead. ASHUKA was isolated in the third flight down the backstretch, crept up around the turn, shifted four wide with two furlongs to go extending its stride and in the six path down the lane ran on to the end to be a clear but distant third place finisher. MIAH SAID pressed the pace outside in the early going, chased outside but to no avail throughout the turn, angled between horses in the four path fighting for a piece of the prize and stayed on well enough to garner a minor share in the end. AUDAX MINOR trailed the field outside down the back straight, offered a mild move splitting foes in midturn, shifted just outside three wide for the run to the wire and passed weary foes in lane posing little threat at the finish line. LEGS LIKE GIZMO sat behind the pacesetter down the backstretch, came under a ride but was losing ground to the frontrunner around the turn, shifted out three wide in the mix at the top of the lane between horses, had little left and tired in the final furlong. ARRAKASTA IZAN was close to the back of the pack between rivals in the three path, picked up the bit in midturn outside, made a strong move trying to circle rivals five wide with a quarter mile remaining but had little left late and folded by the furlong marker. NIGHT STRIKER was urged in the two path with runners on either side near the rear going down the backside, dropped back to trail on the fence throughout the turn and lacked a finish inside foes on the rail in the stretch running. PLEASE DON'T GO travelled four deep outside rivals in a stalking role down the backside, retreated while three deep outside foes on the turn and had little to give in the three path for the drive to the wire.
