Footnotes
LASKAY assumed command under a snug hold down the backside, remained well in hand while setting an even tempo opening up on the field around the bend, was well in control at the top of the stretch and was kept to the task in the final furlong to win going away impressively . BIG SCREEN BOSS sat poised on the fence sitting just back behind the pacesetter down the back straight, continued to save ground on the turn following the frontrunner, shifted out at the quarter pole with the winner getting away and chased the winner home, unable to threaten in the final furlong but easily bested the rest for the place share at the wire. SHAPOVAL broke a step slow to trail the group in the early stages, still could see the field throughout the turn but was starting to narrow the gap by the quarter pole, swung out widest in the seven-path gathering more speed outside of runners in upper stretch and closed in belatedly to be a solid third at the finish line. BONGINO WARRIOR travelled in the second flight having runners on either side down the backstretch, was checked briefly between horses coming up to the three eighths marker losing momentum, rallied inside of horses just off the rail turning for home to be in the third spot at the furlong pole but evened out late to settle on the fringes in the end. NOT A CARE tracked the front duo while three deep outside of horses early on, was hard ridden going three wide just trying to hold position around the bend, moved out between foes six wide at the top of the stretch but could not get involved. OCEANOGRAPHY hounded the pace on the outside early on, was urged right-handed leaving the five sixteenths pole unable to match strides with the winner, shifted out to the five path for the stretch run, had little to offer in the drive and wilted by the furlong pole.
