Footnotes
EL MAGNATE leapt up at the start lagging behind the pack patiently finding his stride in the early going, began to reach for more ground at the half smartly coming up to runners by the seven sixteenths pole, had to be geared down between horses midpoint of the turn, was steadied, clipping heels with the horse in front, stumbling having nowhere to go stuck in traffic with rivals on each side nearing the quarter pole, calmly angled out six wide while regaining composure to have clear run at the top of the stretch and was full of run outside horses with a powering move to drive by at the seventy yards pole proving much the best at the finish line. ATERYA travelled three deep part of the lead trio along the back straight, moved in closer to bid outside at the five sixteenth pole, battled outside at the top of the lane for the top spot, got its head in front briefly in mid-stretch, fought on stubbornly to the end regaining the place prize but was no match for the overpowering winner in the final seventy yards. MYSTICAL DANCE was bumped on the outside at the break, had a hustling ride intent on the lead inside of rivals getting to the front end by the five eighths pole, still remained on the front end but by a diminishing margin at the quarter marker, was collared outside in upper stretch, fought on valiantly inside of runners until the seventy yards pole when giving way to his stablemate and faded slightly late to lose the place share just before the wire. DWIGHT had a stalking position outside ahead of only the eventual winner early on, co-trailed at the rear with three furlongs to go, rallied smartly three wide around horses in midturn, moved out to the five path in with a chance for a piece of the prize in upper stretch and ran on mildly in the last eighth of a mile to get the nod for the minors in the end. DELTA FORCE stumbled badly going inwards at the start, recouped to track the lead trio on the fence with a half mile to run when the field sorted itself out along the backside, waited to go on the rail behind the embattled threesome midway on the turn, had to be checked in tight quarters on the rail with two furlongs from home losing all momentum and could only finish up mildly just off the rail in the final furlong. AWESOME MALIBU was forced in at the start, took back midway along the backside to have a stalking role near the rear, could see the field by the three furlong pole travelling on the fence, shifted out at the quarter marker, swung out widest in the six path for the stretch run but failed to menace. THANKS YOUR HONOUR was in the conversation up top between runners early on, still kept pressing the issue with horses on either side at the half, was roused in midturn chasing the contesting duo but had little response, started to get leg weary between rivals at the quarter pole and tired three wide by mid-stretch.
