CASSON was bumped at the start, stalked the leading pair from outside the second flight heading to the turn, travelled three to four wide on that bend willingly edging nearer at the five-sixteenths, took the lead in upper stretch, edged away while kept busy. HIGHWAYTOTHEMOON took the lead early setting the pace from between runners, was overtaken by the outside foe pressing that one until re-taking the lead entering the turn, moved just clear at the quarter pole but was soon faced by a different outside challenger, was no match for that one but second best. RELOAD RALEIGH stumbled at the start but recovered rapidly to attend the early pace inside, eased back off the leading pair tracking inside the second flight, came out a bit in the stretch, ran on and got the nod for show. LEARNTODISCOVER (GB) switched out off the rail moving forward two to three wide between foes in the second flight and a bit keen seeking room, stalked into the turn, angled five wide leaving that bend, ran on and just missed third. RUDE PROCEDURE bumped a rival at the start, stalked from between runners, steadied slightly when in tight near the seven-sixteenths, angled in and saved ground on the turn, came out four wide in the stretch, ran on. FIRE AND WINE bobbled slightly at the start, switched out well off the inside racing outside at the rear, went four to five wide on the turn and was encouraged three furlongs out, failed to rally. IMPULSIVE BID pressed from outside, put a short head in front for a brief lead from about the nine-sixteenths to the seven-sixteenths, was asked for more at the five-sixteenths but had nothing to give and retreated.
