Footnotes
BELLA CLASSICA had a nice set-up nestled on the rail behind the pacesetter, was hard ridden but could not keep up to the front group at the seven sixteenths pole, lost ground to the leader through the final turn, grinded away with the rider still hustling while outside foes in upper stretch, moved in closer with a furlong to go and got up in the final few strides for the late running win. VRANA (IRE) broke outwards on the start, travelled well while content to hound the pacesetter outside along the back straight, assumed command with the front runner coming up empty by the seven sixteenths pole, opened up midway on the far turn still going at a 'snail's pace' for the three quarters split, remained in control on the fence with a furlong still to run but could not find more late to fend off the winner outside in deep stretch. BLACK GODDESS set a dawdling pace for the first quarter having the wind at its back in the early going, surrendered the front-end heading into the final turn, regressed even more to sit in mid-division on the fence with five sixteenths still to run, had the two path starting to come back on when urged left handed in mid-stretch and finished up to be a clear third between horses not the far off the winner when crossing the finish line. MAXINE MAGIC tracked in the second flight on the outside, shared the back end outside another down the backstretch at the half, made little progression going in the three path outside a rival in the final turn, swung out widest in the six path straightening out for home and showed late interest in the final sixteenth of a mile to settle on the fringes. SERENADING AMAYA advanced three wide outside horses in the first turn to settle in midfield going into the backstretch, took closer order to prompt the issue three deep at the half mile marker, chased the loose leader being urged right handed making little gain at the five sixteenths pole and could not be a factor in the four path in the stretch drive. RELOAD EH was in tight between runners and had to be taken a hold of for a stride or two seeing the field after the break getting to the fence, co-trailed on the inside at the half, could not advance inside of runners when scrubbed for more in the two path along the second bend and could not factor three wide in the stretch running.
