LAKE LOUISE was quick of foot loose on the lead inside going into the first turn, had company outside briefly into the back straight, shook clear again by the half, rambled on isolated up top around the last turn and was rationed out well through the race to just have enough when kept to the task in deep stretch to hold on from a late charging rival to prevail for the gate to wire score. PHAROAH'S AFFAIR rated kindly on the rail in the second flight, began to inch up on the fence midway on the last bend measuring the frontrunner, shifted out four wide posing the only threat to the winner straightening out for home and was closing in tenaciously with every stride in the final sixteenth but just missed getting up for the win outside at the finish line. JUST IN TOUCH sat all alone in midfield for the first half of this two-turn race, commenced a rally when forced to move four wide with the outside runner making an early move at the five sixteenths pole, remained in the hunt five wide in upper stretch but could not go with the lead duo in the final furlong and finished up well enough to be a distant but clear third at the wire. COPACABANA shared the back end outside another on the initial bend, trailed the field down the back and throughout the turn but closing the gap by the quarter pole, rallied inside of runners turning for home and showed late interest to surge in the late going to capture a minor placing in the end. AFLEET FLATTER co-trailed on the inside early on, had a stalking role ahead of one runner along the backside, tried to circle around horses going five wide making a sharp move at the five sixteenths pole but made little headway covering all that ground and could not sustain the long rally and stalled between foes in the final sixteenth. REALLY BIG SHOW tracked outside on the first bend, moved in to apply some mild pressure outside early on down the backstretch at the five eighths marker, chased the leader who spurted away again entering the final turn, came under a drive but was swarmed going in the wrong direction at the five sixteenths pole and emptied out in the three path at the top of the lane. BACKSTREET EMMA travelled in the second flight on the outside in the early stages, made a brief move around foes three wide from the three eighths marker until the midway point of the far turn, could not continue on and folded five wide by mid-stretch.
