Footnotes
NIIGON'S LAW was tucked in on the fence having a tracking role, shifted outside to press the pace down the backstretch at the half, seized control cruising outside for the lead at the five sixteenths pole, opened up just off the rail in upper stretch and improved the margin of victory at the finish line. WILLFUL WARRIOR travelled four wide in the middle of the pack early on, was well held moving strongly between horses midway down the backstretch, was roused for more following the winner throughout the final bend, posed the only threat three wide in upper stretch but was no match in the final furlong. LOVER BOY MO settled on the fence in mid-pack progressed smartly along the back straight closing in at the half, waited on the rail midway around the final turn and finished up willingly have a lane in the two path for the drive to the wire to capture the show money. COBURG was unhurried at the back, improved down the backstretch outside foes lengthening stride, made a sharp move circling around horses five wide with a quick turn of foot at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the mix in the six path turning for home but stalled at the furlong marker to be a fringe player in the end. KAMASI tracked the frontrunner outside another around the first of two turns, settled in mid-division three deep outside of horses by the half mile marker, travelled three wide in the second flight watching the engaged duo at the five sixteenths pole keeping pace, but could not get into gear in the four path failing to fire in the late running. WONDERFUL QUALITY tossed his head fighting the rider while on fence heading into the first turn, trailed the group along the backside, shifted out at the quarter pole unable to make any gains on rivals and had little to offer passing one while in the four path in the stretch drive. FIN DEL MUNDO had a slim lead inside in the beginning, opened up to a clear advantage around the first turn, had company outside from the eventual winner at the half, relinquished the lead inside midway on the far turn, gave way fighting up top by the quarter pole and faltered hugging the rail at the top of the lane.
