SEEKING MAGIC was restless prior to the start, popped up slightly on the break but recovered to narrowly have the lead inside leaving the chute, shook loose at the half setting a moderate pace with the wind at their backs, rolled along with a rival shadowing on the outside around the oval, shot away again two wide off the fence in upper stretch and was well rationed out to just have enough albeit by a quickly dwindling margin for the win. SUNNYVILLE travelled three deep stalking outside of horses along the backstretch, gradually edged up going three to four wide around horses through the bend, swung out widest in the five path having clear run at the top of the lane and found her best stride late, charging outside in deep stretch capturing the place share while not that far off from the winner at the finish line. DANISH COOKIE was nestled on the fence in midfield watching the engaged duo, took closer order on the rail by the half, was roused for more going after the front twosome in midturn, posed a threat three wide at the top of the stretch, did not switch leads through the drive but still kept fighting to capture the show money being involved in a tight finish for the runners up share at the wire. CALL ME MISSLUCKY prompted the early pace on the outside, applied mild pressure chasing the front runner outside throughout the turn, shifted out to the four path in mix for a piece of the prize in upper stretch but needed more in the final furlong when outdueled between rivals for the place share and settled for only a minor role in the end. CODICIA POR VIDA had an awkward start trailing the field leaving the chute, shared the rear inside another by the half, shifted out off the fence leaving the backstretch, offered a brief rally in midturn between horses but had little to offer in the four path in the late running. RACE DAY CHANCE settled in the second flight with runners on either side along the back straight, was roused but could not keep up to rivals seeing the field at the three eighths pole, scraped paint turning for home but could not factor in the stretch drive.
