Footnotes
MRS D veered out on the break, recovered under a hustling ride to seize control outside from the stablemate by the half mile marker, opened up at will in midturn, travelled professionally in the stretch drive and won as pleased when crossing the finish line. WILLING GUEST broke out on the start, settled in midfield on the fence down the backside, was shuffled back at the seven sixteenths pole losing all action for a few strides when the outside rival was angling over going into the turn, dropped back abruptly with three eighths remaining, settled back into a rhythm reaching for more ground at the quarter pole, moved out five wide having a clear run at the top of the lane and figured things out rushing home in the final eighth of a mile with a powerful late burst to be a solid runner up when crossing the finish line. KING KADOOMENT was void of early foot seeing the field along the back straight while been nudged on to stay interested at the half, saved ground still at the rear through the turn, skimmed the fence in upper stretch and finished with good intent to capture the show duel inside at the wire. KNIGHT STORM tracked the lead duo on the outside, could not make up any headway on the front two with the winner opening up at the midpoint of the turn, shifted out to be two or three wide in upper stretch and ran on one paced settling for the minors outside losing the duel for the third place share at the finish line. AWESOME GRACE was away alertly getting the top spot in the beginning, relinquished the lead by the half, was roused but could not keep up to the winner running around the turn, chased to no avail in upper stretch just off the rail, stayed on the wrong lead shortening stride at the furlong pole and wilted to others in the final seventy yards. KING'S COUNSEL leapt up then was bumped inside trailing leaving the stall, improved slightly to stalk on the outside of horses at the half, kept pace while going three wide around the turn, moved out to the four path at the top of the lane but failed to have a finishing kick and yielded by the sixteenth pole.
