HOME FOR A REST had a nice spot all alone on the fence watching the engaged trio, waited through the turn deciding which route to take at the five sixteenths pole behind the embattled leaders, opted for the overland route shifted out off cover at the quarter pole, loomed in the six path getting into gear and drove by when asked between horses inside the sixteenth pole to win going away at the wire. LUZ DE LA LUNA broke a step slow trailing the field while setting into stride along the backstretch, continued at the back end but was starting to gather momentum moving out four wide at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the seven path with the entire field abreast at the head of the lane, could not go with the winner inside who had plenty left in the final furlong but nevertheless had a good late charge for the runners up share. FORESTERS EXEC was forwardly placed three deep part of the lead group, ranged up circling three wide midway around the oval to be a force outside by the quarter marker, fought on in the thick of things while having the five path between horses turning for home but was outkicked by a couple of outside rivals in the last sixteenth to be a clear third at the finish line. ZO LEE was content to sit off the frontrunner on the outside, inched up around the bend to move to a slim lead between foes at the quarter pole, battled in the four path with runners on either side in upper stretch but faded in the last seventy yards to be a fringe player in the end. CHROMEPLATED HEART assumed command from the get-go, remained on top by a head slowing the pace down in midturn, surrendered the front with a quarter mile from home, tried to fight back inside of runners three wide in upper stretch but could not offer a finishing burst and weakened at the furlong pole.
