Footnotes
WOOTEN WARRIOR (IRE) was bumped on the break, stalked outside another in the third tier in the early going, closed the gap three wide on the turn by the quarter pole, shifted out widest having clear run in the five path at the top of the lane and was full of run late, just timing the charge at the finish line to win a blanket finish. CELEBRITY RO broke out at the start, settled near the rear inside the eventual winner down the back straightaway, closed the gap when urged for more between foes two wide at the quarter marker, had a solid late charge between horses down the lane but was nosed out for the win in a tight three way finish. JUSTINE had a good spot on the outside tracking the embattled pair, moved in four wide in upper stretch well in range of the leaders, closed in smartly at the eighth pole to take command with a sixteenth to run but was nabbed at the wire losing a tight three way finish for the winner's share. MIDNIGHT MARTINI dueled inside in the beginning, continued to slug it out having the fence with a pesky speed rival around the oval, disposed of the early pace foe in upper stretch to have control by the furlong marker, weakened at the sixteenth pole and was caught by a trio of rivals in the late going to settle on the fringes in the end. STROKE OF GENIUS veered out on the start but was quickly corrected, gathered herself settling into stride at the rear in the early stages, saved all the ground narrowing the margin slightly on the bend, began to make a move three wide in upper stretch, shifted to the rail coming on at the furlong pole and showed good interest in deep stretch. BARBARA JOAN battled outside setting a rapid wind aided pace along the backstretch, continued to argue outside throughout the turn, gave way up top shortening stride in mid-stretch and folded late being used up from her earlier efforts. LADY ON A MISSION had inside position watching the lead duo who were in a battle of there own along the backside and turn, was roused at the quarter pole offering little response and faltered inside of rivals at the head of the lane.
