Footnotes
PRINCE ALMASTY had a tracking position in the two path watching the front duo, took closer order by the half, pounced on the outside seizing control quickly at the quarter pole and was kept to the task through the lane winning comfortably at the finish line by a good margin. BEACH FACTOR was away slowly trailing at the start, shared the rear inside another down the backside, made little progression around the final bend, swung out to the seven path for the drive and was full of run charging home in the final furlong, unable to get to the dominant winner but besting the rest for the runners up share at the finish line. NIGHT STRIKER had the rail keeping a close eye on the lead pair, was shuffled back some at the seven sixteenths pole, sat poised in the two path around the far turn, moved out brushing with the outside runner fighting for position five wide at the top of the stretch, drifted inwards switching leads while hard ridden under a drive at the furlong pole and was just picked up late on the outside for the place share. FOG D'ORO broke inwards on the start, was forced out going four to five wide on the initial turn, narrowed the margin on the lead pair travelling three deep at the half, started to make a good rally circling around foes four wide at the five sixteenths pole, was brushed by the inside foe losing some momentum while fighting for a path five to six wide at the top of the lane, kept plugging away to the finish line and got up to be a fringe player in the end. WHATEVER YOU WANT broke inwards on the break, settled in the middle of the pack with the field strung out along the backside, made no headway just off the rail through the last bend, angled to the five-path straightening out for home and finished with good interest in the late going. CELESTIAL HEART broke in when the gates opened, settled on the inside in midfield for the first half of this two turn race, waited for the cue to move behind rivals at the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the three path in upper stretch but weakened in the final furlong. AWESOME MALIBU pressed the pace on the outside in the beginning, poked his head in front down the backstretch dueling for the lead, cleared off loose up front by the three eighths pole, relinquished the lead to the winner offering little resistance at the quarter marker and emptied out on the fence, stopping in the stretch by the sixteenth pole. RELOADED FORM broke out at the start, tracked the lead duo while going three wide on the first bend, closed the gap three deep at the half, could no gain on the front pair on the last turn, shifted to the four path in with a chance between foes in upper stretch, was one of many who had troubles when in tight being checked just past the furlong marker, could not recoup late and galloped in. BACCARO POINT had the lead on the inside into the first turn, battled on the fence up top down the backside, dropped back a couple of positions by the three furlong pole, moved in again on the far turn saving all the ground at the quarter marker, was in the mix just off the fence in upper stretch, was checked in tight surroundings leaving the furlong marker with outside runners bearing in as well as stuck behind the early tiring leader and was wrapped up in the final sixteenth. POILIEVRE had an awkward start to be near the rear in the beginning, settled on the outside at the half only ahead of a couple of rivals, made little impact three wide on the last bend and could not get involved having the six path in the drive to the finish line. SANHEDRIN had the rail stalking close to the back in the early stages, started to make a move scraping paint improving at the top of the lane coming with a good rally, had to be steadied on the fence leaving the furlong marker coming basically to a halt with nowhere to go when stuck behind a tiring horse as well having outside foes dropping in and could not recover thereafter. DAVE'S LEGACY was brushed on the outside at the start, travelled three wide on the first of two turns ahead of only one runner at the time, co-trailed on the outside of another along the back straight, could not gain on horses going three wide on the last turn, was floated out widest in the eight path for the drive and could not be a factor in the late running.
