ROCK HARD ROSE had a tracking role outside of runners keeping an eye on the lone speed up top along the backside, edged up while just off the fence around the bend when called upon for more by the quarter pole, posed the main threat in the three path straightening out for the drive, had a smart turn of foot by the furlong marker and powered past seizing the lead by the sixteenth pole to win going away in the end. PRIMA was quickest out of the gate loose up top down the backside, was nudged along having the fence controlling things still on the lead around the oval, moved comfortably in control two wide at the top of the lane, offered no resistance when the winner stormed by on the outside at the sixteenth pole and just lasted at the wire from an inside rival for the runners up share at the finish line. HOLIDAY WITH AMY had a good spot nestled on the rail sitting in midfield rating kindly, saved all the ground around the bend but was shuffled back slightly losing positioning by the quarter pole, skimmed the fence coming with a run at the top of the stretch, was unable to threaten the winner in the final furlong but almost closed in late inside for the second-place share at the wire. GENIUS OF LOVE had a stalking role ahead of one rival along the backside, was relegated to last with the field bunching up midway on the turn, came with a run splitting foes three wide at the top of the stretch and finished up evenly to win the battle for the minors. SHOOTIN' AMY travelled on the outside of another in the middle of the pack, chased the front pair while going three wide between rivals throughout the turn, shifted to the four path in the mix for a piece of the prize outside the leaders in upper stretch, stayed on the wrong lead for the drive and could only finish up one paced in the late going. FOREST B was unhurried galloping along at the back of the pack in the early going, offered a brief run trying to circle around foes four wide on the turn with a quarter mile remaining, could not sustain the rally and weakened, widest in the five path by upper stretch.
