Footnotes
MIGHTY TANNER pressed the issue inside in the beginning moving comfortably, was content to draft behind the pacesetter on the rail throughout the turn, patiently waiting behind the lead trio at the quarter pole waiting to pounce, shifted to the two path unable to find a seam behind the leaders at the top of the stretch, burst through finding daylight three wide at the sixteenth pole and won going away with a strong late surge when finally having clear run. LEMON SWEETS travelled three deep watching the lead duo early on, moved closer just outside around the turn, made a bid for the front end three wide at the quarter pole, fought on in the hunt having the three path in upper stretch, got a head in front in deep stretch briefly but could not fend off the winner outside late. PARTY HOTLINE was brushed on the start by the inside foe, narrowly dictated the pace three deep outside of runners down the back straight, cleared and crossed over getting loose up top by the three eighths pole, was collared by outside rivals at the quarter marker, fought on bravely down the lane inside of runners never giving in but was outkicked in the final seventy yards to hold for the show award. BEAU PINK broke outwards on the start, sat all alone in mid-division with a half mile still to run, shifted out off the rail picking up the bit in midturn, loomed outside horses five wide turning for home but stalled in the final furlong to settle on the fringes. LADY DAYRELLS was allowed to settle into stride ahead of a couple of runners midway down the backstretch, was roused at the five sixteenths pole offering a mild response, was gradually gaining behind the leader down the stretch, had to shift out off the lead quartet in the five path at the furlong marker for a clear lane and finished up with good late energy in deep stretch. FLY TRUE NORTH bobbled on the break seeing the field leaving the chute, co-trailed inside at the half, made little impression running around the oval and could not be a factor just off the fence in the drive to the wire. THAT'S A FACT had a stalking trip close to the back along the backside, shared the rear outside another at the half, was scrubbed for more but could not make any progression through the turn and could not get involved shifting to the four path in the stretch drive.
