BOLD RIPASSO broke out on the start, assumed the lead inside by a slim margin into the backstretch, inched away getting a little further in front by the half, controlled the pace inside nursed along up top by a narrow margin around the bend, shot clear when asked for more run in an instant at the top of the lane and won very comfortably unchallenged at the finish line. HYMN TO HER was taken up at the start in tight between horses, settled at the rear galloping along outside another down the backstretch, ranged up circling outside foes by midturn, continued to close ground still moving up three wide at the quarter pole, shifted to the four path in upper stretch but was no match chasing the winner in vain through the home stretch. JUST MAGNIFICENT broke in sharply at the start but was quickly corrected, tracked the lead duo outside a fellow rival down the backstretch, edged up travelling three wide around runners through the bend, posed a threat in the three path straightening out for home and closed in belatedly to settle for the show money at the wire. LORRAINE'S BEAUTY was forced out on the start, pulled the rider closer to be in the second flight inside by the half, drafted behind the pacesetter inside rivals waiting to move out from behind runners around the bend, hugged the rail with clear run at the top of the lane in with a chance for a piece of the prize and finished up mildly inside foes in the final furlong capturing a minor placing in the end. VELOCITA had a clean break but was unhurried seeing the field inside in tandem down the backstretch with another, could not gain on rivals remaining at the back of the pack around the oval, tried to come with a run four wide circling horses at the quarter pole with the field bunching up but could not get involved having the five path in the stretch running. GREENWICH PIKE was pushed out on the break, pressed the pace outside down the backstretch early on, flanked the leader outside at the half, vied between runners midway around the bend but had little left for the drive, coming up empty between rivals in the three path at the top of the lane.
