Footnotes
EL MAGNATE broke just a touch slow at the start, quickly recovered inside to have the lead by the time the horses were leaving the chute, settled into stride up top well off the fence at the half, rolled along with a high cruising speed with the rider still in the saddle still controlling things up front comfortably around the bend, opened up at the top of the lane with his ears pricked back, switch back to the incorrect lead when asked right handed at the furlong pole well ahead of his closest competitor and won going away back on the proper lead when crossing the finish line in a dominant frontrunning performance. WILLIAM T was bumped by the inside foe to trail the field in the early going, progressed smartly on the fence by the half watching the front pair by then, was scrubbed on for more trying to close the gap on the winner through the turn, shifted out coming with a slight run two wide posing the only threat in upper stretch but was no match in the late going and finished up a clear second best on this day. GOLDEN TRUTH broke out on the start, prompted the pace outside the leader along the backside, gave futile chase around the turn just off the frontrunner on the outside, shifted to the four path for the stretch run and finished up willingly holding for the show award inside at the wire. NAVY STREET travelled three deep part of the back trio with a half mile still to run, kept pace with the top three front rivals while moving just off the rail throughout the turn, shifted four wide turning for home but could only finish up evenly on the outside of a rival unable to get the show award and settling for a minor role instead. BIG TIME BOSS travelled in the two path with runners on both side down the backside having a half mile remaining, stopped abruptly even though asked for more run at the three-furlong pole, lost touch with the field by the top of the stretch and basically walked in across the wire.
