TWIST OF SUGAR was hustled from the onset to be loose up top with the wind at her back settling a brisk pace along the backside, rambled on well in control unopposed throughout the turn and was kept to the task down the entire lane to hold sway for the frontrunning win from a tenacious chasing runner up. PRETTY VICIOUS chased the winner down the backside, continued to try to get to the pacesetter but to little avail around the bend, had relentless pursuit down the lane and was closing in at the wire but just could not reel in the winner at the finish line. SUPER RED broke out on the start, settled close to the back going three deep on the outside in the early stages, began to pick up the bit three wide at the midpoint of the turn outside on runners, shifted out to the five path having run in upper stretch, drifted in briefly coming on at the furlong pole but was quickly corrected by its rider and finished up with good late energy to be a clear but distant third. RELOAD BABA sat all alone watching the front three foes down the backside, was scrubbed on more throughout the turn but was regressing by the quarter pole, angled to the three path for the stretch drive and resurged splitting horses in the final sixteenth to get up for a minor share. BELIEVE IN LUCK had a poor start to be at the back of the pack in the beginning, improved slightly angling inwards down the backstretch getting to the rail by the half, took the short way around the bend but could not quicken with others and could only manage to pass a weary rival while on the fence in deep stretch. DI CAPRI had the rail position sitting a few lengths back off the pacesetter, continued to hold the rail keeping pace with the front pair around the oval, shifted just outside two wide at the top of the lane but the lead twosome was getting away in upper stretch and wilted, having little left in the final furlong. KITTABARTA was slow into stride after leaving the gate ahead of only the other poor starter, had to be checked on the fence coming up to the half mile marker dropping back abruptly, lagged well the filed around the turn and lost touch with the group by the top of the stretch.
