DONTGOBACKONURWORD began sluggishly and trailed the field, began to close into the turn and caught the back markers into the stretch, split rivals at the eighth pole, caught the leader by the forty yard marker and inched away late without ever changing leads. TEMPLE HALL rushed through along the inside of the early leader after a sixteenth of a mile, had a clear lead into the turn and widened turning for home but could not hold the winner inside the final forty yards. SOUPER STRIDER settled off the pace and raced outside a rival throughout, closed in the two path around the turn and down the lane to nail the show spot down in the final stages. ISAAC LEO broke on top, was challenged inside down the backstretch, tracked that same rival into the stretch but failed to get by that one and lost the show spot in the shadow of the wire. KNOWING off the pace and inside a rival down the backside, closed with that one around the turn and down the lane without threatening the top finishers. BIG LEW sat nicely inside while chasing a dueling pair, tipped out into the six path turning for home but lacked a closing response.
