LAZIO was forwardly placed in the two path in the early going, drafted behind the frontrunner on the fence heading into the turn, shifted out coming with a run at the quarter pole, was pushed out by the pacesetter to be four wide between horses turning for home and drove on by at the furlong pole for the lead and won going away impressively. SOUPER SUNDAY broke sharp on the outside initially, stalked going five deep outside runners by the half, shared the rear traveling outside another while going three wide around the bend, started to make a rally at the quarter pole, darted to the fence have plenty on room inside the contesting trio in upper stretch and finished up with a solid late run behind the dominant winner to be a clear second best at the wire. HIGHLAND LIFE was part of the mix up front having the two path behind the early leader, chased between horses on the turn, was forced out in the five path in thick of things at the top of the stretch and ran on willingly with horses on both side to win the three way battle for the show money by a photo. COTTON was positioned in midfield while three deep on the outside, kept a close eye on the frontrunner outside two others travelling three wide around the oval, was floated out six wide by the inside runners in the mix in upper stretch and finished with intent but lost the nod at the wire for the show money, getting a minor placing in the end. FIFTY B M G broke with the field but took an awkward step soon afterwards, rushed up from last to first on the rail inside horses to have the front end by the half, rambled on loose on the engine throughout the turn, was allowed to drift out at the quarter pole taking a few rivals wide when heading three wide at the top of the stretch clinging onto the lead, had little left late and tired in deep stretch. PRINCE OF THIEVES was at the back getting to the fence by the half, settled on the inside of another foe co-trailing on the turn just off the rail, scraped paint at the head of the lane but failed to menace in the stretch running.
