SWITCHIN' TO GLIDE broke on top, was allowed to settle, chased the dueling leaders on the inside around the turn, came up inside the pace survivor and collared that one outside the eighth pole, inching away late to a handy victory. SASSAGOULA RIVER rushed up inside the early leader, took a clear lead midway on the turn, drifted off the rail turning for home and was no match for the winner while holding safe for place. WELL LIT chased outside the eventual winner down the backside and around the turn, floated out into the six or seven path into the stretch and continued to inch up while widest without threatening the top pair. SCOTTIE'S BARN led after a sixteenth of a mile, was challenged inside by the eventual second place finisher, stayed in contention into the lane but could not keep up down the lane. LOVE PUDDLES off the pace while three wide down the backside, rallied mildly around the turn but levelled off down the lane. MAYNARD'S SONG broke awkwardly and trailed throughout while closing some ground into the back markers. A STEWARDS INQUIRY RESULTED IN A PARIMUTUEL REFUND ON NUMBER FOUR, MAYNARD'S SONG, FOR RECEIVING AN UNFAIR START.
