Footnotes
MISS VYVYANNE was quick into stride leading well off the fence in the four or five path by the half mile marker, angled inwards to the rail well in control of things up top travelling around the bend, moved strongly opening up on the fence midway down the stretch and won comfortably for basically the gate to wire score. WESTERN WHIRL forced the pace on the outside, chased the pacesetter stubbornly outside through the turn, never gave in running hard just off the rail trying to get to the leader down the entire lane but just could not close the gap on the overpowering winner in the final furlong while still holding on for a game second best. G T FIVE HUNDRED broke out at the start, improved on the fence down the backstretch inside of runners, drafted behind the frontrunner with seven sixteenths to go, kept pace sitting behind the winner along the bend, held the fence in the stretch running, and kept fighting inside to the very end to dead heat for the show award at the wire in a tight finish for the secondary placings. OUTLAW KID was bumped on the inside then was crowded at the start to trail the field down the backside, could see the field two to three wide around the turn on hold waiting for the opportune spot to make a run, found a seam in the four path straightening out for the drive and charged home outside runners picking up horses in the lane, drifted in a touch when tapped right handed in deep stretch and shared the third place award in a tight three way finish for the runners up share. READY TO COLLECT stalked near the rear going five deep on the outside of runners, travelled four wide holding position in midfield around the bend, shifted in slightly three wide at the top of the lane but could not find more late and faded between rivals in the last sixteenth of a mile. GOLDEN AFTERNOON stalked near the rear in the four path midway down the backside, was in tight three wide between horses losing some momentum at the five sixteenths pole, swung out widest in the five path in upper stretch, could see the field having little to offer at the furlong pole and was veering out sharply in deep stretch. FOXTROTANNA broke outwards on the start, was hustled in the two path down the backstretch fighting for forward position between, had to be throttled down a touch at the seven sixteenths pole, got shuffled back a couple of positions inside leaving the three eighths marker, shifted to the two path for the stretch run but lacked a rally down the lane.
