Footnotes
LUSTER settled off the pace inside saving ground, moved nearer the leaders in hand on the far turn, was patiently handled then tipped out at the quarter pole and given cue, moved to the lead five wide in upper stretch, drew clear and was kept to the task. KATIE'S GRACE was caught wide into the first turn then took back and shifted in, unhurriedly brought up the rear, saved ground near the rail on the far turn, rallied inside a foe but off the inside to get the nod for place. DIXIE LAW settled mid-pack inside saving ground, came out five wide at the top of the stretch, loomed a danger but could only kick on evenly and lost the nod for place. TULIP moved forward outside heading to the first turn, took over the lead at the seven-eighths edging clear a sixteenth later, dictated terms near the inside, drifted out leaving the far turn, was headed at the three-sixteenths and weakened in the stretch. BOLD TIME broke a bit awkwardly, was thereupon urged forward but lacked significant early speed racing outside a foe into the first turn two to three deep off the pace, was forced to go wide travelling four deep past the quarter pole, came into upper stretch seven wide, ran on without threatening. CLASSIC MOVE made the early lead and shifted in heading to the first turn, switched outside the new pacesetter for the run up thh backstretch, was in range when asked three wide at the quarter pole but weakened thereafter. LAKE LOUISE was outside a foe racing mostly two to three wide, asked for more at the five-sixteenths but failed to rally.
