LEAN MUSIC MACHINE had the rail watching the contesting trio in the beginning, commenced a rally on the fence in midturn, shifted out in the two-path coming with a strong move to loom boldly outside in upper stretch, drove past the weakened leader who was softened up fighting for the front end early on and was pulling away when crossing the finish line for the win. KOKOMO dueled on the rail having a couple of runners outside down the back straight, put away all early speed foes opening up by the quarter pole, moved well on the fence in upper stretch but could not find more late when unable to fend off the winner in the final eighth of a mile who had an ideal tracking trip. MY COVENANT had the outside in a tracking position keeping an eye on the lead three rivals down the backside, circled around horses three wide midway around the bend, shifted to the four path for the drive to the wire and closed belatedly to be a non-threatening third. SCUDERIA was uninterested trailing early while roused to stay in touch along the backstretch, started to come with a rally on the fence on the turn passing an outside rival at the quarter pole, moved just outside two wide turning for home and picked up another weary straggler running with a furlong remaining to settle on the fringes in the end. SAMMYSAURUS REX broke in at the start but was quickly corrected, had a head in front on the outside two others down the backstretch, battled outside throughout the turn, had enough giving way up top by the quarter pole, folded in the three path with a furlong still to run and was not persevered with late galloping across the wire. POCKET SPEED vied between runners in the early going, gave way arguing up top by the half, had little to offer on the turn when dropping back between horses at the five sixteenths pole seeing the field by the quarter marker and cantered home well back through the lane with the field quite strung out at the finish line.
