Footnotes
EMPTY HANDED broke out on the start, inherited the lead entering the backstretch moving quite comfortably, was nursed along having a slim lead with the rider sitting chilly on the fence well within herself around the bend and had plenty left in reserve drawing off impressively when called upon for more in the final furlong to the impressive frontrunning win. AMERICATHEGREAT left the gate a step slow trailing the compact group well in range at the half mile marker just off the rail, could see the field around the turn, shifted out three wide beginning to lengthen stride at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the seven path gathering more speed turning for home and was the only one behind the dominant winner making a solid stretch run down the lane to be second best. XARABELLA bobbled slightly then veered out on the break, was under a snug hold sitting just outside off the frontrunner at the half, vied between horses shadowing the leader around the bend, angled three wide but drifted in a touch at the head of the lane and finished up willingly to hold for the show money. MATHEMATICAL improved on the rail along the backside to sit behind the pacesetter by the half mile marker, lacked running room on hold behind the contesting trio on the turn with a quarter mile to run, skimmed the fence at the top of the stretch in the mix for a share but ran on evenly inside of horses to be a fringe player in the end. BOSSY CANDY hop up slightly on the break, travelled three to four deep outside rivals sitting in mid-pack down the backstretch, tried to circle three wide around runners only to keep pace through throughout the turn, shifted to the four path between horses in upper stretch, stayed on the wrong lead in the stretch running and wilted by the furlong pole.
