NAUVOO assumed command from the onset getting to the fence, controlled the pace setting an even tempo uncontested along the backside, cruised around the far turn still moving strongly with no challengers in sight on the final bend and under a well rationed ride had plenty left in the tank for the stretch drive to win going away, increasing the winning margin at the finish line. LAC MACAZA had a good spot on the fence tucked in watching the pacesetter, was scrubbed on at the five sixteenths pole starting to make a move saving all the ground around the last oval, shifted out three wide posing the only threat to the winner at the top of the lane but was no match by the furlong marker and finished up with good energy but was a clear second best behind the dominant frontrunner. EVER DANGEROUS was content to sit outside tracking the pace, sat off the leader's right flank just back off the pace but was not applying much pressure, was set down midway on the far turn with the winner easily edging away under only a hand ride, shifted to the four path unable to continue on with the top pair in upper stretch and finished up gradually, lasting for the show money with the filed spread out in the drive to the wire. CORNWALL settled inside another having a stalking role throughout, took the short way around the last bend while hard ridden but could not gain on the lead three rivals at the quarter pole and finished up one paced inside horses just off the rail in the stretch run to capture a minor placing in the end. POSTURING was unhurried trail in the early stages, lagged well behind the pack on the final bend, shifted out widest in the five-path turning for home and showed some late interest catching an inside straggler in the late going. THIS DUDE A BREEZE had an outside stalking role, came under a drive two wide throughout the far turn but could not keep up to the lead trio by the quarter pole and came up empty in the four path in the stretch running.
