Footnotes
SINCLAIRITY was jostled between runners on the break, stalked close to the back on the rail with a half mile remaining, took the short way around the turn closing in quickly at the quarter pole, swung out widest gathering more speed in the eight path by mid-stretch and charged home in the final furlong, powering past to take the lead in the final seventy yards with an impressive stretch kick. HOME FOR A REST sat all alone in the middle of the field at the half mile pole, narrowed the margin smartly on the turn running with an inside rival, shifted to the seven path for the drive to the finish line, did not switch leads down the lane, still kept on fighting but could not match strides with winner outside in the final seventy yards and still showed a strong effort nonetheless to best the rest for the runners up share. GIVE ME THE BOOTS broke out on the start, was uninterested swishing her tail leaving the chute at the rear, improved along the backside, settled in mid-pack on the fence around the turn, moved in smartly in tandem with the outside foe at the quarter pole, had to wait behind a wall of runners looking for a seam two wide in upper stretch, found a clear lane shooting through four wide at the sixteenth pole and showed good late energy to be a clear third at the wire. OLIVIA ROSE had a slim advantage on the inside down the backside, continued to hold a slight lead on the fence while hounded by a pesky speed foe around the turn, shifted three wide holding the top spot, with runners closing in on both sides in upper stretch, faded inside rivals at the sixteenth pole but did show some late grit to comeback on for a minor share in the end. LITTLE TEDDY had a tracking position with horses on either side, closed the gap on the contesting duo on the turn still running between horses, angled to the four-path straightening out for the drive, poked her head in front by the furlong pole but could not hold her position on the front end late and flattened out in deep stretch. SPEEDY FREEZE broke inwards on the start, trailed the pack by the half, remained at the back seeing the field around the bend, shifted to the three path turning for home and showed some late interest passing a few runners in the final eighth of a mile. MINIMUM FORTY settled in the second flight going three deep outside a couple of rivals in the early going, crept up on the turn going three wide at the quarter pole, angled five wide in the conversation between horses at the top of the lane but yielded at the sixteenth pole. CARA CARA forced the issue on the outside down the backside as well as throughout the turn, shifted to the four path for the stretch drive, had little left from her earlier efforts and folded between horses by mid-stretch. FORESTERS EXEC had the rail tracking the lead pair, waited on the fence behind the contesting duo around the oval, scraped paint in with a chance with many runners fanned out at the top of the stretch but could not find more in the late running and faltered in the final furlong.
