FLY TRUE NORTH was loose on the front end leaving the chute, had a slim lead up top setting a modest pace along the backside at the half, open ed up at will in midturn to have a commanding lead on the fence at the top of the lane and cruised home for the dominant frontrunning tally. DANISH COOKIE had the rear end with the group quite compact midway down the backstretch, made a sharp move under a hustling ride bursting between runners three wide at the quarter pole, angled to the five path turning for home and finished up well enough to best the rest for the runners up share well behind the overpowering winner. TORONTO HOOPS reared up at the start, recovered along the backside to press the pace outside with a half mile still remaining, chased the winner in vain around the oval, shifted to the three path holding for the place share in upper stretch but faded on the fence in the final furlong just lasting for the show award at the finish line. YA NO had horses on each side running in mid-pack, came with a good run three wide midway along the turn, swung out widest in the seven-path straightening out for home but stalled with its run and lost the duel outside for the third place share outside in the end. BEAU PINK travelled inside of a couple of runner sitting in midfield, had the fence making little movement holding position around the bend, angled two wide for the drive to the finish line but had little to offer late and tired by the sixteenth pole. RACE DAY CHANCE settled on the outside of two others three deep in mid-division, retreated on the turn while going four wide outside of horses to be at the back of the pack by the quarter pole and could not come back on to get into contention in the stretch drive.
