Footnotes
ACCELERANDO shadowed the pacesetter outside for the first half of this two-turn event, inched up two wide on the final bend with the rider sitting chilly, soared past in the three path outside the leader in upper stretch, opened up switching leads at the furlong pole, moved back on the incorrect lead with a sixteenth to go but still won very comfortably at the wire. SANHEDRIN had the fence position watching the front duo, remained inside of another still keeping a close eye on the lead pair at the half, started to reel in the embattled twosome at the quarter pole, shifted to the three path at the head of the lane but could only chase the winner home in vain. WILLY STYLES trailed the field on the fence, shared the back end in tandem with the inside rivals at the half, circled foes three wide at the five sixteenths coming with a run, swung out widest in the six-path finding his best stride down the lane and closed in belatedly winning the stretch duel from two others for the show money. HOLY RAMBO broke a step slow, travelled in the second flight outside, could not quicken between horses when trying to keep up at the midpoint of the far turn and finished up mildly inside a couple of rivals losing the nod and duel for the third place share at the wire. FOG D'ORO travelled outside another in the middle of the pack, had a good turn of foot going three wide around runners with three eighths from home, shifted to the four path in mix for a piece of the prize but was outkicked between runners in the final furlong. AWESOME MALIBU had the front end setting an honest pace in the beginning, continued up top softening the tempo down the backside, was headed outside by the at the quarter marker, had no answer when the winner took off outside in upper stretch and had little left to give in the final furlong wilting inside of runners. RELOADED FORM was checked on the rail entering the first turn while in a stalking position ahead of one runner, co-trailed on the inside at the half, made a mild move three wide at the five sixteenths pole passing an inside rival, stayed in the three path for the drive but showed little, lacking a rally in the late going. TUCKERS TOWN settled on the fence in mid-division, had to be checked in tight on the inside of runners at the three eighths marker, was relegated to last with a quarter mile to run and could not offer a late kick in the drive to the finish line.
