LITTLE RED DOMI assumed command getting to the lead just off the fence from the outer post heading down the backside, still had his head in front with company bearing down on either side throughout the turn was tenacious in the drive opening up at the furlong pole and kept on finding up top to the very end, holding off the late closer outside at the finish line for the gate to wire victory. DONTGOBACKONURWORD trailed the field on the outside in the early stages, started to come with a run passing an outside rival three furlongs from home, closed the smartly inside horses on the turn, shifted out gathering more speed in upper stretch, stayed on the wrong lead through the stretch drive still charging home but came up just shy of the winner at the finish line. ROYAL QUALITY had the rail sitting in mid-division at the half mile marker, inched up taking the short way around the bend at the quarter pole, angled out three wide fighting for a piece of the prize and finished up willingly to be a clear but non-threatening third at the finish line. YOU AND ME BABY dueled inside down the backstretch, battled on the fence bobbing heads up top in midturn, hugged the rail but was unable to keep up to the winner in upper stretch, had little left late and faded inside rivals at the sixteenth pole settling on the fringes. CRUCIAL TAUNT was on the outside part of the early fray going four deep, forced the issue three wide outside the leader on the turn, still remained in the mix for a share four wide straightening out for home but yielded to others in the final sixteenth of a mile. TUTTI CONTENTI reared up on the break, then rushed up even though under a snug hold to duel in the three path at the five eighths marker, dropped back to midfield at the half, made no gain travelling outside another around the oval and failed to fire four wide down the lane between foes. TRUE SHOT hopped slightly on the break, settled near the back end just off the fence at the half, was last three wide at the three eighths marker already under encouragement and could not factor having the six path in the stretch running.
