Footnotes
BOWMAN'S RUN travelled three wide ahead of only one runner on the first of two turns, ranged closer improving three deep outside foes at the half, made a rally circling rivals three to four wide on the second bend, pounced in the four path seizing control outside the engaged trio up front in upper stretch, battled with an inside rival with a furlong from home relinquishing the lead briefly and found more in reserve late to edge away for the win in the final seventy yards. WILD CARD had a good spot forwardly placed nestled behind the contesting pair, waited at the five sixteenths to make a move, had to shift out two wide going around the tiring early leader at the quarter pole, moved back to the rail for the stretch run, battled inside neck and neck with the winner an eighth of a mile out but could not continue on late arguing up top but still dug in to the end to hold for the runners up share. LONNY'S GAMBLE had the fence settling close to the back, remained on the inside with the eventual on the outside running in tandem along the backstretch,, moved out three wide picking up the bit on the last turn with a quarter mile still to go, found his best stride late in the five path down the lane and just got up at the wire for the show money in a flurry of a finish. PRINCE ALMASTY settled on the inside in mid-pack, made no progression along the backside, edged up having a tight seam on the rail midway around the final bend, shifted out three wide off the tiring early leader looking for a clear lane, darted to the rail at the furlong pole and had a solid late run in deep stretch but was nosed out for the show award in a photo. PARADISE PERFECT was void of early foot trailing, started to reach for more ground catching up to the pack four wide on the last turn at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the seven path turning for home, kept on coming gradually outside finishing with interest in the final furlong but was on the wrong end of a five way free for all at the finish line. THANKS YOUR HONOUR tracked in the second flight outside another in the early stages, was roused but could not quicken in the two path between rivals at the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the four path at the top of the stretch but lacked a rally through the lane. SPIKEPHIL was hustled on the rail having the lead under the wire for the first time, battled inside around the initial bend for the top spot, relinquished fighting for the top spot down the backstretch by the half, retook the lead outside midway through the final bend but was swarmed on both sides in upper stretch and faltered by the furlong marker. EGBERT WHO settled on the outside of another in the middle of the pack, took closer order going three deep outside of horses along the back straight, improved three wide between foes at the quarter pole to be in the hunt straightening out for the drive, could not sustain the run and folded in the final furlong. POLITICAL WARFARE was hard sent outside intent on the lead, duelled outside for the top spot around the turn, shook clear by the half but to do so under right handed asking setting a rapid pace, was collared outside at the five sixteenths pole offering no resistance and emptied out stopping on the fence in upper stretch.
