Footnotes
OUT N OUT DISGRACE was allowed to settle into stride lagging behind the group along the backside, started to reach for more ground smartly three wide around foes at the quarter pole, swung out widest full of run having a clear lane in the six path straightening out for the drive and with a well timed stretch move, picked up inside rivals one by one in the final furlong to just get up nearing the wire for the late closing win. KNOWING was near the rear stalking on the inside, took the short way gradually making up ground around the turn, scraped paint offering a good charge at the top of the lane, shifted to the two path off the pacesetter at the sixteenth pole coming on but could not match strides with the winner in deep stretch and was just outfinished at the finish line for the win. TEMPLE HALL was fleet footed clearing off getting to the fence under a hold by the five eighths marker, controlled the pace left alone up top throughout the turn, still kept digging in holding on having the fence at the furlong pole, was looking for the wire with rivals closing in outside with a sixteenth to run but was nabbed by a couple of runners in the very late going settling for the show award while not that far off the winner at the wire. DEVIL'S TONGUE had the rail keeping a close eye on the frontrunner, chased in earnest around the bend closing in at the quarter pole, shifted to the four path in the mix with runners on either side at the head of the lane and finished up evenly, catching a weakening runner late to settle on the fringes. GOOD TO BE LUCKY tracked the lone speed outside another early on, dropped back slightly off the front two foes in midturn, resurged at the quarter pole to be in the hunt three wide between horses in upper stretch but stalled in the final furlong and lost a couple of positions late. SOUPER STRIDER had an outside stalking position ahead of only one runner down the backside who happened to be the eventual winner, kept pace while having to do so three wide around the oval, shifted to the five path with the group basically six abreast turning for home but lacked a rally in the final furlong and could not get into contention in the end.
