ROSE FORTUNE cleared away getting the rail loose up top by the half, rolled along while hounded on the outside midway through the turn, spurted away again under a well rationed ride in mid-stretch and was kept to the task just prevailing on the inside from a game runner up at the finish line. ALPHA GAMMA GIRL chased the leader inside another down the back straight, had a good set up nestled on the fence drafting behind the engaged frontrunner on turn, shifted out two wide between foes posing the only threat in upper stretch, was gaining with every stride edging up in the final furlong but was denied by the winner inside who just had enough to hold on at the end. PRETTY VICIOUS hopped slightly on the break, recovered to be under a snug hold on the inside well within range in the third tier, narrowed the margin running just off the rail on the bend by the quarter pole, angled out to the four path with aim on the lead pair at the head of the lane but could only finish up a distant third at the wire. PLANTANITA had a terrible start off slowly leaping up at the start spotting the field many lengths down the backside, rushed up closing the gap smartly in striking distance of the group inside horses at the three furlong pole, passed a runner hugging the rail throughout the turn, shifted to the two path still finishing well inside down the lane, could not get to the front three stalling at the furlong pole trying to play catch up due to the compromised beginning but still nevertheless showed a gutsy effort to garner a minor placing in the end as well as galloping out strongly afterwards. SILENT PAL travelled three deep ahead of only the troubled starter down the backstretch, retreated three wide throughout the turn to be at the rear with a quarter mile still to run, shifted to the two path for the final furlong and had some interest catching a weary foe in the late running. SURFSIDE BEACH tracked the loose frontrunner outside another down the backstretch, moved to the leader forcing the pace two wide around the oval, gave way arguing up top in the three path turning for home and emptied out by the furlong marker.
