Footnotes
TALENT SHOW broke a step slow to begin, settled into stride three wide near the rear on the first of two turns, had no change between horses in the three path down the back straight, made an eye popping strong swooping move three wide with the rider statuesque in the saddle circling around horses on the final bend, switched leads and gears opening up at the furlong pole and increased the margin of victory winning easily at the finish line. MAGIC MODIE was brushed at the start, had the lead just off the fence setting a soft pace early on, rolled along travelling smoothly with a rival on the outside at the half mile pole, remained up top narrowly at the five sixteenths, had no answer when the winner sailed past outside at the quarter pole, never wavered in the stretch run and finished up strongly behind the dominant winner to best the rest comfortably for the second place share. MCKENZIE ROAD tracked the pacesetter on the outside, moved to the frontrunner outside by the half applying only mild pressure, was scrubbed on between dueling for a brief moment two wide on the far turn at the quarter pole, angled to the four-path turning for home unable to go with the lead two runners in upper stretch but stayed on willingly down the lane holding on for a distant third at the finish line. BRAVO KATE was in the three path sitting in mid-division, took closer order three deep outside watching the lead pair at the half, edged up on the front duo well in hand outside three wide at the five sixteenths pole, could not match strides with the outside winner circling with a quarter mile from home, angled to the five path straightening out for the drive and finished up mildly outside foes to just get up late for a minor award. PICKFORD SWEET was content on the fence watching the frontrunner, had a good spot nestled behind the leader down the backside, was asked at the five sixteenths pole but the lead trio was getting away by the quarter marker and lacked a rally having the three path in the late running. TWISTING PISTONS broke out on the start, was part of the rear foursome having the two path between runners in the early stages, was checked mildly for stride or two behind horses at the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the three path for the stretch run but could not get involved. BELLA CLASSICA had the fence sharing the back end with three outside foes, remained in last with the field bunched up at the half, took the shortest way seeing the field still on the far turn, continued on the rail but failed to menace in the stretch running. LADIES RUM travelled four wide outside horses at the back of the pack, remained four deep offering little movement down the backstretch, was spinning her wheels continuing to travel four wide on the final turn, swung out widest in the seven-path turning for home but could not be a factor.
